I have no hesitation in recommending Jason and his team at Qualico.
I have worked with the guys from Qualico on a 5-story, 35-apartment development in Grey Lynn over the past 10 months.
Their contract was for the concrete works package. Working together with a tower crane, the superstructure is a combination of in-situ walls and columns, shell beams, and double tees. The facade has been precast concrete panels, mechanically attached to the side of the superstructure.
During this time, I have been constantly impressed by their ability to adapt and adjust to the daily challenges presented on the site. It has been refreshing to work with a subcontractor that understands that things don't always go to plan and that working together with the project team as well as the other contractors on site is to the benefit of everyone.
Jason has an easy-going approach with a sound background in all construction techniques that gives you confidence. Once a section of work is discussed and agreed upon, he will produce a quality product and take ownership of it, which is a rare quality to find.
Another skill is his ability to coordinate and get along with other contractors on site. This has been invaluable in achieving deadlines on a program that has an extremely tight timeframe. Jason has understood the pressure to perform and adjusted resources and worked the hours needed to meet critical stages under less-than-ideal conditions during our recently missed summer.
I look forward to working with the guys from Qualico in the future.
